Buying and selling on the marketplace

What can I buy and sell?

The Qwikyo Marketplace is for physical goods and local services listed by individuals and small businesses. Common categories include:

• Electronics (phones, laptops, appliances)
• Furniture and home goods
• Vehicles and vehicle parts
• Clothing and accessories
• Books and study materials
• Rentals (furniture, equipment, vehicles)

Posting a listing

1. Tap + → Post an ad or go to /marketplace.
2. Choose whether you're Selling, Renting, or Offering a service.
3. Add a title, description, photos (up to 10), price, and condition.
4. Set your location and contact preferences.
5. Tap Post — your listing is live immediately.

Making an offer

When you find something you want:

1. Tap the listing and read the full description.
2. Tap Make an offer to propose a price, or Chat with seller to ask questions first.
3. The seller can accept, decline, or counter-offer.
4. If accepted, arrange pickup or delivery via the in-app chat.

Safe trading tips

• Meet in a public place (a café, mall, or busy street) for high-value items.
• Inspect before paying — never pay before seeing the item in person.
• Use Qwikyo's in-app chat — it creates a record of the conversation.
• Watch for red flags — sellers who want to move off-platform or ask for advance payment via UPI before meeting are high risk.
• Report suspicious listings using the flag button on any post.

Rentals

When renting an item:

• Agree on the rental period and deposit amount in chat before meeting.
• Both parties should photograph the item's condition at handover.
• The deposit is returned when the item comes back in the agreed condition.

Deleting or editing a listing

• Go to Account → My Ads to edit price, photos, or description.
• Mark a listing as Sold once the deal is done — this removes it from search.
• Listings expire after 60 days but can be renewed for free.
