Managing your account and settings
Update your profile, change your password, manage notifications, and control your privacy.

Where to find Settings
On web: Account โ Settings (or go to /account/settings). On mobile: tap your avatar โ Settings.
Changing your password
- Go to Settings โ Change Password.
- Enter your current password, then your new password twice.
- Tap Save.
If you've forgotten your password, use Forgot password on the login screen โ a reset link will be sent to your email.
Updating your mobile number
- Go to Settings โ Mobile Number.
- Enter the new number and verify it with an OTP.
You can only have one verified phone number at a time.
Email preferences and notifications
Control which emails and push notifications you receive at Settings โ Notification Settings:
- New bid on my task
- Task assigned / completed
- New message in chat
- Booking updates (for professionals)
- Platform news and promotions
Turn off what you don't want โ the only notifications that can't be disabled are security alerts.
Privacy settings
- Your full name and photo are visible to users you transact with.
- Your phone number is never shared publicly โ communication is via the in-app chat.
- You can request account deletion by emailing hello@qwikyo.com.
Managing your professional profile
If you've applied as a professional, go to Account โ Professional Profile to:
- See your current application status
- Update your bio, pricing, and portfolio
- View your public profile link (when active)
For your tasker profile (task bidding), go to Account โ Tasker Profile.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
For extra security, enable 2FA at Settings โ Security โ Two-factor authentication. You'll need an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy) or you'll receive OTPs by SMS.
Deleting your account
Account deletion permanently removes your profile, listings, and transaction history. To delete:
- Email hello@qwikyo.com with your registered email and subject "Account Deletion Request".
- We process requests within 7 days.
Note: if you have pending tasks or open bookings, those must be completed or cancelled before deletion.
